Hello,

My name is Dr. Lauture Massac, Ph.D.(Yogi Darshan). I am a clinical psychologist who graduated from the United States International University (Alliant University) in San Diego, California. I am licensed in the state of  California. I also have a master’s degree in Psychology, specializing in Chemical Dependency. I have 25 years of experience working in mental health settings.

I am also a Yoga Master. Before becoming a psychologist, i studied Yoga for four years in India in different Yoga schools, among them is the famous Lonava Yoga Institute in Poona. I am a rare psychologist with a practical package of Eastern and Western Philosophy focusing on therapeutic results. The focus of my practice on this site is to address the whole person’s needs, to achieve peace, harmony, personal satisfaction in relationships, inner security, Self-control, and optimum health. That is why I am using Yoga Psychology Therapy to achieve that goal. A method of integral Yoga combines all human mental, emotional, and psychological needs. The method of meditation I teach is the Key to managing the “Monkey Mind.”

Throughout my practice, I have developed holistic methods to treat patients and empower them with self-knowledge to understand their psychological and emotional problems. Since each client is unique, my approach is designed for you and your specific needs. Research has shown a correlation between Mental and Physical Health, so addressing both could lead to the ultimate therapeutic results.

I am a great listener, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I am also a classical piano player, and I love nature. My approach will guide you to find within the peace and the joy of life you deserve. I am also the author of: “Psychology of Daily Holistic Yoga and Self Realization.” The book is also available on this site in both English and French.

What is Psychology Yoga?

A person may wish to join a beginner’s yoga class when starting the practice.
Many people regard yoga as a safe form of physical activity for healthy individuals with guidance from a qualified instructor. Although sustaining severe injuries while practicing yoga is rare, some people do experience sprains and strains.
There are many styles of yoga, ranging from relaxing to vigorous. They include:

  • Darshan Yoga
  • Kripalu Yoga
  • Hatha Yoga
  • Nidra Yoga
  • Kundalini Yoga
  • Bhakti yoga
  • Karma Yoga

When starting yoga, people may wish to join a beginner’s class so that an instructor can teach the correct poses and techniques.
Learning from online videos or apps may lead to improper alignment of poses, which may cause injury over time.

Many people use yoga as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments to improve their quality of life.

Although medication and talk therapy are common treatments for depression, yoga has had some promising results as a complementary therapy.
